I love horses. And I love making pictures of them. The background around the pony is dark and made of many blues. One of the blues in the sky is from an old garment, where there are white threads shot through the dark blue, giving it a zippiness that I really like. Not much left of that fabric, but it was perfect for this rug. The rug has a flowery tan cotton bias binding on the back that echoes the tones of the pony’s coat. It measures 8" high by 10" wide and is outfitted with a muslin sleeve and wooden dowel for display on the wall. Perfect for the child who has fallen in love with horses. I was that girl!
