Purchasing and Shipping

Purchasing: My web site is set up to securely accept credit cards or PayPal. All of my rugs can be purchased by international customers with payment in USD. I also accept payment by check or Venmo. To do that, please send me an email using my Contact page so that we can set it up. Please get in touch with me if you have any questions about placing an order.

Shipping: I have a flat fee of $15 per order within the US and ship via USPS within one week of receipt of your order. When the order is shipped, I will let you know via email so that you know when to expect it. If you have other shipping needs, just let me know in an email. If for any reason, your shipment is damaged (I pack my work very carefully so it should not happen), please notify me via email immediately. Returns may be made if I’m notified within one week of receipt of your shipment. If your order is a gift, please let me know and I will gift wrap it, include a note, and send you the receipt separately.

Commissions

Much of my work comes to me in the form of a commission. Sometimes it's a search for a rug that will commemorate a beloved pet, or celebrate a wedding or new baby. In other cases, a rug that I’ve made (see my Archive page) might be great for your home.  Or, you may have an idea that you'd like to see in the form of a rug, using  colors and design elements that are meaningful to you. Whatever the motivation, just get in touch with me so we can talk about your project. Here are a few examples of commissioned rugs.

Commission Process: My method is to first discuss the rug with you (motif, size, colors, etc.). If you want to go forward with the commission, a $100 nonrefundable downpayment is sent. Then I make a set of drawings that I send to you, usually by email. I may make one additional drawing based on feedback. When the drawing is approved, I put the project in my schedule and a 50% down payment is required. When the rug is complete, I let you know and a payment of the remaining balance due plus shipping (minus the 50% downpayment and the $100 drawing fee) is due.

Reproducing a Rug: While I most often design and create rugs that are completely one-of-a-kind, I’m happy to work in a similar theme again, but because there will be variations due to the nature of a handmade piece, making an exact copy is impossible. That makes every rug all the more special and unique.

Teaching

I enjoy teaching. It's a way to bring a wonderful craft to a group of people interested in working with their hands and making beautiful pieces. An added benefit is working communally, in a group, working hard and having other people to talk about and learn with. If you are interested in taking a workshop, please let me know using my contact form.

Newsletter

The best way to stay informed about my teaching schedule is to join my newsletter email list -- there's a form below for doing that. Another way is to email me so that I can let you know about upcoming workshops.

I'm always open to talk about teaching opportunities, so please get in touch using my contact form on the Contact page.

Copyright and Permission

All of my work are protected by copyright. If you're interested in featuring my work in a publication or blog, please contact me using my contact form. I'd be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.
